Ald. Fuentes plans to "opt in" the entire 26th Ward to allow accessory dwelling units! 🎉

Without opt-in: 31% of 26th Ward allows ADUs
With opt-in: 💯

Thanks to Ald. Fuentes, thousands of additional homeowners in Humboldt Park, Logan Square, and Hermosa will be able to build an ADU as-of-right. 🏘️
There's still time to weigh in on future transit priorities! Take a few minutes to fill out CTA's survey right now 🙏

Thank you to the hundreds of riders who came out to share their thoughts & ideas at the Budget Town Hall meetings! There's still time to take our short survey to share more about why you use the CTA & why public transportation is important to you & your community.

Chicago took a step forward for housing affordability today! Accessory dwelling units—such as my home for the last 2 years—are now legal to build in 135% more of the city.

It’s not perfect, but it’s progress. Thank your alderman and tell them you want even more housing options. @stevevance.net
I don't know about you but in Chicago we use bouncy houses and food as instruments of tactical urbanism and it works pretty nicely ✨️

Chicago basically eliminated parking requirements near transit citywide except downtown today!

Transit = within 1/2 mi of CTA rail & 1/4 mi of some well-served bus routes.

[Downtown carve-out is odd. But downtown developers can better handle bureaucracy they must still undergo for parking relief.]
