I'm using flame javelin as a card that illustrates the ideas being discussed without all the baggage of high profile cards like kitchen finks, or companions, or beseech the queen

People get bogged down in "i want to play kitchen finks in my white deck" and lose sight of the scope of the proposal

My entire thesis was that the cards themselves dont matter and we should be focusing on the rule change in isolation

Plus it's well established that colorless is allowed to have any effect at 2-3 mana more than its primary/secondary colors

one more comment about the hybrid mana discussion: stop laser focusing on specific cards. Y'all miss the forest for the trees when you ask which colors should get a(nother) demonic tutor. Use example cards that don't matter in commander, that people don't have a specific agenda about
