Summary of the story "Cast Out" by Clueless_As_Always: "The Ōtsutsuki are defeated, the battle is won, the world is saved - but the cost was high. At the age of sixteen, Boruto Uzumaki and Sarada Uchiha emerge as Konoha's victors of the fight that sealed the fate of the earth, but the victory doesn't look like one. The blood on their hands and the lives taken by their weapons let things appear in a very different light, and the two teenagers are forced to leave everything behind in order to protect the village they fought for and the loved ones still alive. This collection of one-shots accompanies the two friends through the years, through loss and suffering, but also through moments in which two broken individuals can help each other become whole again."
