There certainly was some conjecture that it would draw Hezbollah and possibly Iran into an immediate, intense multi front war that would overwhelm the golden dome. IDK if that was Sinwar's strategy, but it doesn't seem entirely unlikely.

Yeah - it's unclear. I read yesterday that Argentina will blow through the $20B in a month or two. Milei is facing elections on the 26th, so the timing is a bit suspicious. Maybe a crypto angle?

The point is don't do the thing that is being encouraged and can get you in serious trouble (and cause a lot of harm) and is not effective as a protest technique. There are tons of better ways to cause good trouble.
