Speaker of the Russian Parliament Volodin called former U.S. President Joe Biden, French President Emmanuel Macron, and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz "mold."

"And there will be fewer people like Biden in the world, fewer like Macron or Scholz, because they are mold.

I am old enough to remember the winters of 2005, 2008 and 2009. In each of these winters, Russia cut the gas supply to Ukraine, Belarus, and other states, causing people to freeze in their homes. Russia did this as a means of political blackmail.

RFK Jr. keeps repeating this ridiculous, ignorant bullshit.

Trust in expertise is literally a vital feature of both science and of representative democracy.

I wrote a whole-ass thread about it last time around; maybe worth revisiting.

RFK Jr: We need to stop trusting the experts... Trusting the experts is not a feature of science or democracy, it's a feature of religion and totalitarianism.

Early member of Antifa buried w/ his aircraft as his shipmates bid him farewell. Loyce Edward Deen of OK was naval aerial gunner on TBF Avenger Torpedo Boat, USS Essex. Killed during Manila Bay raid 1944, he gave his life at 23 so WE could live free😢
Honor him, protest to protect freedom🫡

Don’t fall for the hype and, certainly, invest very carefully.

So, what will the world’s largest population be doing for work? When do the (ex)terminations begin?

While Trump plays trade war like he’s holding all the cards, our executives are coming back from China terrified.

They’re walking through “dark factories” where robots run the show so efficiently the lights don’t even need to be on.

One exec saw a plant pumping out phones with zero human workers.
I thought the story might be about Pokémon, …? WTF?

If we can get RW news to start sarcastically referring to us as 'Patriots' and MAGA as 'Loyalists' we have won.

Yeah, time to reclaim that shit from the Tea Party dorks of fifteen years ago. We're all talking about "liberty" and "tyranny" and whatnot again too! It's ours now.

Tolkein continues to resonate. The new bank being set up by Palmer Luckey and backed by Peter Thiel is named Erebor after the “lonely mountain” in The Hobbit. This was also an interesting line in this rpt on the new bank by @tabbykinder.bsky.social www.ft.com/content/202d...
Apparently, we are all living in an alternate reality.
😑 Just another day.
Perhaps every generation before us would agree.
