Oh, that's fun! I must have missed that connection somewhere along the way.

I think I've watched their M'ere Luna concert at least three times.

I'm always surprised when someone I would expect to have a deep and radical understanding of disability justice doesn't seem to. I generally wish academics would draw a clearer distinction between "doing" DJ and "drawing on" DJ. Alice Wong and others made that line clear for me, anyhow. 🙏

Oh no, I'm so sorry. 💜

(We're still dealing with the aftermath of a similar scenario, without a brother to call them out.)

I hope your parents can listen and make different choices in the future as they navigate this.🤞🏼

I counted up the number of ways (platforms, accounts, apps) that people in my professional and personal lives plus healthcare systems and kid’s school are contacting me and uhh. This is objectively impossible.

In honor of spooky month, share a 4 word horror story that only someone in your profession would understand

I'll go first: Six page commercial lease.

Me: (trying to peacefully eat a honey biscuit)
Fenris:

#FenrisUpdate
A close up and blurry view of an orange cat's face and chest. He looks slightly inquisitive but mostly undeterred. He wants that honey biscuit. His left paw isn't visible, but it is certainly grabbing for that honey biscuit. Do not put that in your mouth hooman. That is surely for this orange cat. Give it. Now.

My boss: so how's our fourth quarter looking?

Me, the sales manager at the company that makes inflatable frog suits: well, you're never going to believe this, but

Apparently I'm going to spend the morning working around a large orange cat who is not a lap cat but also desperately wants a ton of attention this morning, and has resorted to standing in my lap with his front paws on my shoulders.

Fried brussel sprouts?!? That sounds amazing. Hope you enjoy them!

How exciting! So many congratulations! 🥳🎉

Yay, I got to brag to a student about a former colleague's cool work! During drop-in hours, no less! My small win for the week.

No more personal emergencies this week, please. Surely we have met our quota.

please send condolences to @starinthetitle.bsky.social who just went into “Tears of the Prophets” completely unspoiled and experienced the slow march toward Dukat’s entrance in the Bajoran temple in real time
ALICE: wait what the fuck, is Jadzia dead??

ALICE: DID THEY KILL JADZIA????????????

ME: okay so I definitely thought going into this that you knew that happened and I started to get concerned at the end of the last episode that you did not

Sorry about being so distressed on main today. Have this meme that I’ve only shared with my synth chat recently.
A last on the phone vacuuming the carpet where she says “Rob’s in the garden doing some sort of craft work with the kids”

Rob and his 3 children are wearing all black in the garden and appear to be playing a kraftwork (band) practice

We spent the morning at the emergency vet, and we're all back home safe now, but I feel like I've lived through today at least twice, if not more.

Nothing takes me back to my days in Augie choir like William Billings. Rose of Sharon is a close second.

I'm currently trying to explain to my partner how much I adored the fried mushrooms from Brown's Chicken, so of course I'm also singing their jingle. 🤤

Don’t know who needs to hear this but…an increase in class enrollment caps without an increase in teaching staff is an increase in production without commensurate pay.

I.e. it’s a pay cut.

Pass it on.

Oh shit, hope you're safe and well. That sounds like an appropriate plate for that bike, though.

I just said something similar not half an hour ago, but you're also SO right about burnout=n+1. The collective could not take the load.
