FINALLY, Meriam and I can announce that we are working on a new graphic novel, a psychological horror tale set in the breathtaking Tunisian Sahara. The story follows a French-Tunisian man grappling with his dual identity and recounts his journey to reclaim his long hidden Arab-ness.

I almost never post dramas on socials but it was not the first time I’ve had similar comments about TUNIS TO SYDNEY. I’ve always being overly patient with people, but I now want to make it extremely clear that bigots of any kind do not have a place in my life.

He has always seemed like a sweet dude, so I briefly considering debating him or at least asking why he’d send such an article to me, but I decided to block him. He knew what he was doing and I have no time for Islamophobes in my life.

I recently posted this story on Instagram. Our OGN is about an Arab/Muslim woman who migrates to Australia, and is co-written by my Tunisian wife.

Minutes later, someone I’ve known for 40 yrs sent me an article with extreme right wing talking points about the dangers of Muslim migration to Europe

After the signing we also both walked away saying what incredible sweet people Javi and Deniz are. So refreshing

Geeeez, what can I say about @keezyyoung.bsky.social’s wonderful book that hasn’t been said already? Absolutely gorgeous art and a message that resounded deep within my heart. Such a sweet and sensitive story that has helped me better understand my bipolar friends.
