A few publishers include the author's RePEc Short-ID in their metadata, and the work is then added automatically to their profile. But for the vast majority of the works, authors have to recognize and claim them.

The NYT published a story that highlights how Congress has pulled back from the PBR's proposed cuts. The numbers show more favorable outcomes in the House and Senate for R&D. Damage was done in 2025, but these potential funding outcomes are better than what was feared.

Since Jan 1 2025, which feels like four trillion years ago, research has been shared on here 5 million whole-ass times. Bluesky recently passed 2 billion posts IN TOTAL.

So 0.25% of the entire site's traffic was citations to research.

The citation datum "(forthcoming)" should be replaced with a real date and reference to an existing preprint. (The bibliographic reference can add that the paper is forthcoming in a journal in addition to being a preprint already, and the citation counts can be merged later.)

Authors are entirely in charge of their RePEc profile except publishers may add works using their short-ID, RePEc admin can remove erroneous works, remove affiliations at the request of that institution and fix bad emails. Also, RePEc admin takes over when the author dies.
