I love Ashley Kahn’s books on A Love Supreme and Kind of Blue. Man, I’d really love something similar on Coltrane in ‘61. The one downside in all the Coltrane books I’ve read, for me, is not enough exploration of Ole Coltrane and Africa/Brass.

I get folks’ disappointment. But because it’s not my favorite era, and I’m not a big Dylan boot collector, this will be a nice addition and goes into plenty of detail for my taste. I’ll be happy to have it in a nice edition. Holy cow, Sony made this just for me! 😂
Watching the Diane years now is a great lesson in how writing is different in the era of binge. You couldn’t have that on-off-will they-won’t they energy if you’re writing for binge. It worked incredibly when there was a forced week off between eps
