10/19 Corruption, 1968 US/UK Version

Peter Cushing & Sue Lloyd star in a twist on the mad doctor needs to kill for his wife trope. The murders are brutal without being gory or graphic. The psychological turns are interesting. I enjoyed the first 3/4, then it goes off the rails and ends ambiguously.

A Stan’s Soapbox signed Smiley. It’s long, but the gist is that Marveldom is split 50/50 on whether stories should last more than a single issue, and Stan is announcing that from this point forward, all stories will be contained to one issue.

10/18 The Wolf of Snow Hollow, 2020

Riki Lindhome was great. Robert Forster is always a treat to watch. Liked Natalie Kingston’s cinematography a lot. But the movie just didn’t work for me overall. I felt it was trying to do and be too many things at once.
