I tried the remaster, but I just couldn’t. The controls are garbage—no slight in Remedy, all controls were garbage in 2010—and it wasn’t worth the aggravation since I already knew how it went. My memories are untarnished.

I hope they can stick the landing. Control breathes the same rarified air as Wake, but the game just…stopped. I didn’t even realize I’d completed it until this past week. Hopefully Wake The Second dodged that bullet.

Plus, normal people are apt to say “no, that’s wrong” or at least “if I do this crime I could go to jail”. Billionaires, on top of self-selecting for sociopathy, don’t have to deal with consequences the way we dirty hoi-polloi do. That kind of money exerts a gravity well that sucks up Justice.
