The weird thing about Commodore is most of the real top people never really spoke. Not in the way Clive or Alan did. Which creates a vacuum that allows Amiga Butterfield to exist.

Whereas with Alan he never really did corporate speak and allowed that contemporary biography of Amstrad.

It was the strength of the character that meant she was popular in Upstairs Downstairs. Jean Marsh basically reused bits of the character in House Of Elliott for the woman who worked under the two sisters.

One of the reasons for my skepticism over nu-commodore is the fact that they could not survive just making hardware and paying investors, they would have to make lots of cash by licensing and IP. It’s only a matter of time before they start going after established small retro businesses for a slice.
