Put a re-staffed ICE under the Census Dept!
They go door-to-door with all the documentation.
They check your history, identity.
Been here four years, no convictions, working a job?
:: stamp, stamp :: Here you go, you're legal now, with a citizenship path if you want it.

Fabulous. Now do the shift from horse-drawn to gas-powered cars. Why was electric shut out then? And why is Big Oil still getting, what, $40B in subsidies when they're paying to slow the change to renewables now?

Does everyone grok that Republicans could end the shutdown tomorrow?
Don't even have to nuke the filibuster (which Senators L-U-V). They can just suspend the rule for the one vote (they've done it before), and Creamsickle Caligula can sign it wherever he's flying next to cheat on his golf score.

He didn't just DO rallies. He PLANNED them.
#StoptheSteal was invented in 2016 BEFORE elections.
Drumpf boasted to Koch that it would be great for ratings.
The whole "would have won the popular vote too, if not for cheating" was improvised.
It was never about becoming president. That's the joke.

See, Drumpf gets a pass on the infection of his own appointments. I hire only the best, you know, but I wasn't well served by the people closest to me, who recommended and kept some very bad people. I confirmed them, of course, but they were not really my hires. Because they were bad. Because...

My guess is he believes that war will raise his approval rating, as well as intimidate his domestic opponents over how he's going to "monitor" upcoming ballot boxes.

I don't. The hiring they've done is clearly dopes who wouldn't know how to operate this military gear.
I think missiles to ICE is about somebody three levels below Drumpf just grifting.

The point about the mediocrity and skill-deficit of secret police, combined with the news that Drumpf is evidently stockpiling things like chemical warheads with ICE et al, is a bit of a balm actually.
Anyone smart enough to use this stuff is probably good enough to refuse to use it on citizens.

It's a race between the approaching mid-terms and his deteriorating competence. He can't forbid elections with a hand up his back, and it's getting harder and harder to pretend he's making decisions (other than the revenge moves- the puppeteers let him have that sandbox).

There's been analysis that Putin/Russia gives Drumpf little signals to control his behavior. Maybe now the GoP in Senate is figuring out the same tactic. He'll actually do what they want just to keep them from acting. (Of course, "he" means his puppeteers here).
