#Inktober Day 17: Basil (The Great Mouse Detective)

It always struck me that the first scene we see of Basil involves him failing. He's still brilliant, but clearly imperfect. I love that. I enjoy heroes who are competent yet fallible.

#Inktober Day 16: Emerald (friend OC)

Emerald is a musically-inclined fox, as seen here! I've actually drawn her a few times over the years, and I was struggling to find a new way to incorporate her music theme. So I went ahead and turned the dial up to 11 and made her a one-man-band!

Happy to do it! He was a cute character to begin with ;)
#Inktober Day 15: Raichu ( #Pokemon)

I thought today's theme would be a good opportunity/excuse to try drawing a character from @darqlugia.bsky.social, one of my online buddies. His character, Ned, is a very fun concept: Middle-aged Raichu salaryman! I just couldn't resist.

#Inktober Day 14: Quill

Speaking of Street Fighter... Quill here was directly inspired by a couple of characters from the franchise. She's a ninja avian who's in charge of scouting and spying for one of my villains. She's grown on me over the years as I've learned more about her.

#Inktober Day 13: Q (Street Fighter)

The #StreetFighter series was a huge inspiration for me, which at least partially explains why I draw such large hands and feet on my characters ;) Q was a special favorite. I had a project on my desk for years as a teen that was an attempt to draw him.
#capcom
Oh, and his character is a winged cat, not a fox ;) He wanted to make that clear.
One in the same! Blast from the past, right? :)
#Inktober Day 12: Timothius (friend OC)

Behold the fuzzy face of the fellow that I'm doing these prompts with! This is his primary fursona, though he's also a character all his own. Whenever I see this cute fluffball, I just wanna give him the biggest snuggle...

#Inktober Day 11: Ohno (Mighty Orbots)

I have never heard of this show before starting Inktober this year, as I wasn't ever into robots like the Transformers and such. It's actually a really endearing little gem with a fun art style, so I can see why it inspired my friend so strongly!

While I'm definitely most interested in works involving anthro characters(which includes stuff like Yoshi), I'm not limited to that. I absolutely encourage you to post your stuff! I remember you had some fun ER artwork back in the day, for instance.
#Inktober Day 10: Charlotte

I've posted Charlotte up here before, but I still put her on my Inktober list since I always enjoy drawing her. Considering her love of neon and pastel colors, I think Char would be a natural fan of arcades and probably #DDR. Not my best attempt at perspective.

#Inktober Day 09: Rocky (Lackadaisy)

It's technically just before midnight as I post this, so I've still got it in before the day is over!
#Lackadaisy was a ridiculously inspirational comic to me. I've done an entire write-up on it, but I'm mostly just happy now to see it doing so well.

#Inktober Day 8: Amy (friend's OC)

I was out of town these past two days, so I unfortunately was delayed in getting my Inktober art penned and scanned. Drat! Either way, here's Amy, a cute psychic mouse girl who can constantly see five seconds into the future... and likes bubble tea?

#Inktober Day 07: True Heart Bear (Care Bears)

I was a huge Care Bears fan, growing up, and I always loved the big movies that they had, so I decided to depict True Heart as she appeared in that film. It always amazes me how much they did with so little in those movies.
#furryart #carebears
This is my take on this fun little chart! I wonder what the patterns here reveal about my favorite fighting game playst-... *looks at all the ears and tails with almost no gameplay similarities* Oh... Oh dear...
Uh... I guess I clearly like zoners and charge characters? :D

#Inktober Day 06: Anne (my OC)

There's some level of poetic justice that the character I rolled today is the character that had her outfit inspired by Tanya. Anne is a very old character for me, and one of her defining traits (aside from her faith) is that she makes her own dresses.
#furryart
Ooo... I'm a fan of this one. Definitely gonna have to give it a shot! It's a bit of a shame that there's only a slot for 'waifu' and not one for the male equivalent, though I guess you could put either there.
#Inktober Day 05: Tanya (An American Tail)

I saw Fievel Goes West before I actually saw the first film, so this version of Tanya always stuck in my mind. Don Bluth had an incredible impact on me as a storyteller and an artist. I still strive to embody those lessons.

#Inktober day 04: Maverick (friend's OC)

I don't normally draw humans, but my friend's OC list has a couple (and the dice said to), and Mav here is especially important to him. He's a street urchin type of kid living in the SatAM #Sonic universe. He likes to stab bad bots!
#Inktober 2025 Day 3: Blinky Bill (friend's inspiration)

Although this was drawn from a list of my friend's inspirations, Blinky Bill is still a character that I've a bit of a history with! He was actually the subject of one of my earliest commissions. It was fun to revisit him!

#Inktober 2025 Day 02: Fiona Sixtus

I created Fiona in high school when I was deeply into debate. I would use her to express my views and vent my frustrations about issues. I eventually fleshed her out into an actual character. And, yes, she has six rings on her tail.
#furryart #raccoon
And so I start #Inktober!
Day 01: Sawyer (Cats Don't Dance)

This movie meant a ton to me, but it also led to me discovering the CDD fan community and one of my artistic idols: Shelly Pleger. That set me on such a journey...
#furryart #CatsDontDance
So, for this #Inktober, I'm doing something slightly different! I'm doing the challenge with an online friend and we're following a fun four day format. Day 1: Draw a character that inspired your art. 2: One of your OCs. 3: A character that inspired the other. 4: One of their OCs. Then repeat!
