Starting Oct. 11, the Vashon Island water taxi is adding Saturday sailings. People can now walk or bike to Vashon Island with seven sailings over the course of the day.

It's not clear if the Mariners or the city can enforce a noise limit on the megaphones of street preachers, despite lots of complaints about the loud volume.

One preacher told me even if there is a new rule next season, "we'll be here for sure. God willing."
