I had 1000+ in my mid 20s but had to sell the bulk of them to make rent and my alcohol addiction during some months of unemployment. i just started building back up two or three yars ago and am at ~500

I'm going to wean myself from music streaming and try to go mostly full music media something within the next year. its just so much more satisfying. i've already sort of been curbing the habit to just either listen to my favorite shit on the way to and from work or demoing stuff i might plan to buy

(preface: fucked my credit due to former drug addiction/being generally a wreck) thinking of getting a secured card to build up credit so i can do things like rent a car. maybe have a line of credit so doing things like booking a trip/hotel room isn't completely reliant on me hoarding away money
