The regional differences are interesting. You'd think generally people would be eager to mask in medical settings at least, but from what I've seen that's rarely the case unless there's an enforced rule in place.

In Ottawa I see incredibly few people mask. My husband and I are usually the only maskers everywhere we go.

Interesting! A 65 yo friend of mine got his shots in Southern Ontario today and said the one other person waiting was a man older than him who only wanted a flu shot, not a covid one, because "covid is over." 🙃 I happened to be at an Ottawa Rexall earlier today and saw just one person waiting.

I'm sure he is. Since I'm now only eligible for free shots once a year I wish they'd at least let us pay for a spring shot. But given what we know about covid they really should be free for everyone across the country at least twice a year.

I hate that QC and AL are making the general public pay for covid boosters. It's so short-sighted. But I hope your parents can find an appt!

I will always find people's refusal to mask and protect themselves bizarre. Will get both shots the minute I can. In ON covid and flu shots aren't open to the general public until October 27th. But you can go now if you're 65+ or immunocompromised.
