I grew up not far from there… At the time (‘70s), a lot of the amusement park was in ruins and blocked off, as was the pool. If memory serves, in the ‘80s, they made the area into an arts center, with the carousel restored and the pool turned into a picnic area (but retaining the Deco entrance).
