These four pin designs are the absolute super heroes of my store. The profits from these ones offset the losses from my other designs while I wait for them to break even. I'm really thankful to everyone who's bought one and helped me make new cool art!

I'm so proud to announce my most ambitious pin to date: a miniature guide to the trees of Britain (and lots of Europe)!

Available now from my Etsy: canopyrobin.etsy.com/listing/4386...
A rectangular enamel pin with two hinges on the left hand side. It looks like a book and has a picture of a tree on the front. The book is titled: Trees, a miniature guidebook. An open version of the pin shows assorted leaf shapes on the pages of the book. The leaves are labelled by species as oak, horse chestnut, sycamore, hawthorn, ash, alder, hazel, holly, lime, beech, and birch

This digital guide I made to go together with my new Tree ID pin badge is available for free at canopyrobin.com/uktrees/ as a personal/educational resource.
Enjoy!

Yes! The best guide is always the one you have with you 😊

Thanks! It took a lot of conversations with my manufacturer because they would usually just glue one onto other things they make but I suggested we embed it via a concealed pool of resin in the enamel and printed over to hide it. Lots of unconventional techniques in this one!

I do! It's even more ridiculously expensive since I've had to include tariff fees in the shipping cost but they at least seem to show up fairly quickly and reliably

"The EHRC’s exclusionary interim guidance has had a devastating impact on trans people’s lives"

“Now the guidance has been withdrawn, so should the exclusionary policies that organisations rashly implemented in its aftermath. If not, they could find themselves in hot water.”
EHRC withdraws interim guidance encouraging trans exclusion
After six months of confusion and delay, the EHRC has taken down interim guidance rushed out in April. But the damage has already been done.

Even without the digital element, this pin is designed to be a functional guide to some of our most common trees! I really wanted to create something both beautiful and helpful for understanding nature. #SciArt

I hope you like it! 💚

A hinged enamel pin held up in front of an ash leaf. Different leaf shapes are depicted on the enamel, along with printed labels

If the design itself isn't enough, I've also hidden a sneaky NFC tag behind that printed tree on the front cover. Just tap it with your phone and it will open my new, free, digital guide to british trees at canopyrobin.com/uktrees/!

"What makes this pin ambitious?", you ask?

So many things! For a start it's hinged and there are three whole sides of enamel. But there's not just one type of enamel either. The leaves are hard so they are raised up over the soft enamel pages. Also UV printed labels and multiple colours of metal!
A hinged pin hanging slightly open on a backpack strap. The front has a tree on it and says trees, a miniature guidebook The pin shown closed and open. From this angle you can see that the leaves on the inside of the book pin are slightly raised up

I'm especially excited for the big trans flag stickers to be stuck up in the world! I think at the moment you might still be the only one to have ordered them

Got my order from @canopyrobin.com super quick even though they're from across the pond! I have a few ideas where some of these are gonna go...
A large trans flag sticker, some stickers with the text "we've been here the whole time" with trans flag colored loops like the ones from the show game changer, a pin with the lesbian flag and trans colors coming in from the side like a progress flag

Pin storage and packing space is definitely a factor!
