Per usual, Trump has lied about every aspect of this. He now says it'll cost 50% more than when he announced it. He now says it'll be much bigger than originally planned. He said he wouldn't touch the East Wing, and he's now demolishing it. He said he would accept input from US agencies, but hasn't.

The symbolism of Tr*mp destroying the White House from within is off the charts.
