Oh that’s definitely wrong, doubt me often. I’m wrong impressively frequent.

I got to play this morning with my usual playtest group (my daughter) and after a late-night rules Q&A with @marcelineleiman.bsky.social, I can say pretty certainly this game has the sauce. I know this to be true because my wife and daughter have beaten me at it, which means it’s a good game.

@seandavidross.bsky.social Look at what they’ve done to your favorite game.

Gin is a lifelong game for me and this is really striking that nerve. I can tell especially because my wife is super fond of Gin and I saw her gears turning the same way.

I have bounced off Koi-Koi because I haven’t taken the time to really learn the cards. This, clearly, does not have that issue, and the whole feel of the experience is tighter. I think when I get a few more plays in, I’ll start to click even more pieces together. This is a rock-solid build!

We didn’t get to play a full game tonight, but my wife and I did play a round (plus a what if) of @marcelineleiman.bsky.social’s Faster Than Light. By the middle of the round, I could really feel the horizon stretching in front of me in terms of options and risk/reward.

Maybe, if I’m lucky, I’ll have enough change saved up in my little change bucket to get both BallXPit *and* Absolum. Maybe.

Now that's a good mail day! Two incredible subjects with equally remarkable productions. I can't wait to get these on the table.

Oh thank goodness. I immediately panicked on looking when I realized I hadn’t obtained permission. Phew.

The insanely cheeked up Fante of Clubs from the Napoletane deck.

You know where to find me when you’re ready then! :) I have a day of playtesting other games with my kiddo today, hopefully, so we can definitely add *Faster than Light* to the roster! FYI: There’s a fairly popular video game called that too which might mess with searches. Just a heads up!

I volunteer for testing! 🫡 My daughter and I are fishing and rummy connoisseurs. (If necessary, of course.)

Well, I think that looks just *game in the middle left*

Finally played Crisps! by @shreesh.bsky.social and art by @saibep.bsky.social. A real treat at the end of the week. “A cute little game” says Rachel.

Oh yay! I marked I was interested. :) I look forward to reading the final paper too!

Yes! Only because when you play shedding games with a standard deck, or two, bridge size is soooo much better. And that one time I 3d printed a case for my bridge deck and didn’t know the difference and was very annoyed with the extra space, so I made another one that fit, haha.

The classic ADHD symptom of being asked to name “up to 5 board games” and immediately forgetting any and all board games you’ve ever played.

Survey is short and fun, go do it!

I wish I had had an opportunity to talk about use of technology in the teach beyond my most recently taught game, though.

Do you teach boardgames? We have just launched a survey asking about your experience! It takes about ten minutes to complete - please share!

I almost want you to get one and send it to me, but that seems unfair! It’s so cool!

That’s so damn real. And 100% believable.

:) It’s such a good game.
