A nice lunch done fast under 45min.

Charcut is one of the best restaurants in the city so it great they offer something like this.

Big surprise was the non alcoholic strawberry spritz. Not just sweet, refreshingly balanced with a lot of cucumber.

MEC is essentially REI of Canada but this store in Calgary is more impressive than the REI in Bellevue.

I haven't been to the REI HQ in Seattle though. But this MEC has a huge store and selection of gear from top brands like cotopaxi, Patagonia, and sea to summit.

8th Street underpass used to be kind of a shady area.

Come back to find it refurbished with a lot of lighting at night which helps a lot.

You ever find a restaurant with bad service but the food is so good you kind of don't care?

Guy who took our order had a language barrier and we misinterpreted the menu order of 1 meat 1 veg curry dinner for two as ordering 4 curries.

It was so good I don't really care XD.

Picked up a curler doughnut from the food hall.

Pricy. Not bad but not crazy about it's shattering glaze that doesn't stick well. Heavy dark fried crust.

I think I'd rather have the honey curler out of tim Hortons if I'm honest. :p

Checked out of the holiday inn. upgraded me to a room with a fireplace. Breakfast was pretty typical of holiday inn.

Still just a holiday inn express but nice of them.

This downtown calgary wework is super nice. And well worth the $37.50 a day.

Lots of private phone rooms, nice view.

Super automatic for espresso machine and ontop kombucha in a lot of ways beats Microsoft campus amenities too :p.
