Hi new followers 👋, welcome, this account is a weird mix of tangents on #hacking #history and current events involving large, or particularly interesting, hacks, how the media looks at hacking and just what is going on with hacktivism.

It is a whole delicate and complex money jenga tower with these companies so even a few of them falling apart could cause the whole thing to crumble.

Floundering to make some cash back at this point, let’s market to horny losers sounds like a pretty desperate ploy.

Why would the cartels do anything to attract attention when all of DHS has been pulled off of drug related investigations to harass regular people going about their every day lives?

If this were real we’d have Netflix petitioning the government to keep blipverts legal as their streaming model would not be profitable without it.

Researchers pointed a satellite dish at the sky for 3 years and monitored what unencrypted data it picked up. The results were shocking: They obtained thousands of T-Mobile users' phone calls and texts, military and law enforcement secrets, much more: www.wired.com/story/satell... 🧵👇

Penn Jilette with an "airport prank" from PC/Computing magazine from back in January of 1991.
This Joke Could Send You to Prison

HERE'S AN IDEA: Write a program that replies onscreen "Except that one" after any keystroke following the "Press any key" prompt. Nice little joke, right? It's not mean-spirited and nobody gets hurt. Great. If your idea of comedy is not hurting anyone, stop reading now. If your idea of comedy is doing damage to yourself and others, I've got another idea for you.
I fly a lot. It's my job. I also bring a laptop. Computers are the only thing I've ever really loved that I haven't tried to destroy. (Maybe I'm sharing too much for a computer magazine. I don't know.)
You fly. You take a computer. So you know what I mean: Part of flying with a computer is hateful and miserable.
The problem is security. I guess if you fly out of some Hooterville airport, they just let you walk through with a few pounds of hardware over your shoulder, whistling the theme from "The Andy Griffith Show." But all the real airports

Some of his criticisms here are valid but nonsensical coming from someone profiting from Putin’s regime that is ready to split the entire Russian internet off from the rest of the world with the flick of a switch and has done everything possible to outlaw free speech online.

Every major criminal case in the U.S. right now has the president publicly wading in on whether he thinks the defendant is guilty or not and what punishment he believes they should have. Then you have this guy running the FBI. Must be a golden age of crime.

I confess I haven’t read the report referenced but I read your article, there seems to be no mention of bots or AI driven spam on twitter (or here for that matter). Was the report operating under the assumption that twitter is still a place largely driven by “real” organic discourse?
