J.K. Rowling now going after asexual people is truly the most bizarre choice. Who are asexual folks hurting or inconveniencing by being visible and talking about their experiences? Literally no one. Their visibility makes other asexual people feel less alone. Why would anyone be offended by that?

Seriously, creative folks: Don't be afraid to let people know your stuff is out there for them, or worry that "now is not the time for that." People are stressed and freaked out and looking for the things that will give them a moment of rest and joy. It is EXACTLY the time for what we do. Tell them.

I’ve said it before - fan fic is cookies someone made at home and brought in to share. Yes, they should be labeled for allergies (tagged). No, you don’t leave a nasty review if you don’t like them - they weren’t professionally baked, they were made by your peer ❤️ Build community, not negative clout
