Personally I like any movie in which Willem Dafoe plays Willem Dafriend.

I was literally just talking about this flick recently.

I still like the worldbuilding and the mise-en-scene of "Daybreakers." They really did a great job selling the audience on "everyone is a vampire and that was probably a bad idea."

Then again, I have a soft spot for middling budget movies with goofy concepts.

I miss old sitcoms when people would just drink "Beer" or "Cola" and eat "Chips."

Your Bluesky has become regular Amydog updates, and I'm all for that.

I Photoshop Paddington into a movie, TV show, or pop culture until I forget: Day 1676

The newest Cenobite, Rivethead, won't torture you physically. But he'll make you endure his encyclopedic knowledge of every industrial band, side project, solo album, subgenre, lineup change, and remix. And that will feel like an eternity.

A Nightmare on Elm Street, Freddy's Nightmares, and Freddy's Dead both portray different takes on Freddy's origin story.

This makes Freddy an unreliable narrator.

Dude, all Frog said is that he had to use the room. He said he was coming right back, pal.

“Maybe you are right,” said Toad. “Maybe Frog does not want to see me. Maybe he does not want me to be his friend anymore.”
Frog sits off on the distance, an island unto himself.

Sounds like a fun online quiz: Lovecraftian Great Old One or Star Wars character?

My "Tales from the Crypt" watch-a-thon is getting more irritating. Three ads for AI bullshit: One for Grammarly and two for Adobe Acrobat.

To hell with this. I'm switching up to Freddy's Nightmares on Tubi.

"Oh, man. I haven't seen this episode in years, with the mummy and the... Wait. He's playing the prof?"

Aw, crap. I just started watching an old "Tales from the Crypt" episode and I forgot Jeffrey Jones is in the damn thing.

In the pre-internet days, I had a cat who would drop everything and stare at the TV if she heard Clint Eastwood's voice. Wish I'd taken some photos of that.

I'm a regular drive-in attendant, every summer. I even made a game about them (free community copies still available).

I saw "Sinners" and "Clown in a Cornfield" as part of a double feature. That was fun.

Bobcat Goldthwait stars in a very special issue of Batman.

"Uhhh... Bruce is on VACATION. So you get ME instead."

Long pause.

"Oh, wait. Did I say Bruce? FORGET I said anything."

On the subject of Robert Rodriguez flicks, I was recently reminded of the edited-for-TV "Desperado."

Something amazing about hearing a guy yell "What the frijoles?!"

Any anthology showcasing indie directors is going to be a mixed bag. I'd rather get the occasional weak segment if it means showcasing more talent.

Doesn't mean I have to love every bit of it. But I still love the concept.

Keep in mind when they say "article," they're not just including legitimate news outlets.

"You won't believe these eight tips for fall fashion" on some clickspam site is an article, and can easily be regurgitated by a robot.
