The problem is that vanishingly few actors under 50 are allowed to be "everyman" types. Everyone bulked up and got their faces pulled for the MCU and now you can count the number of bankable actors who are allowed to look like normal sitcom dads on one hand.

The problem is that right wing media sources are financially subsidized by billionaires in whose interest they publish, and left wing sources, by and large, are not. The model that exists to finance the sort of journalism you wish to see necessarily operates on the level of reader-funding.

Mike's taste leans progressive -- Native Tongues, Wu Tang, Def Jux, MF DOOM, Rhymesayers, etc. Much of what he celebrates emanates from those traditions/sounds. You won't like every album he champions but if you like rap, you'll love a lot of what's here.
