PFFT. SORRY !! lol. i wish i had good recs for those. i love mass effect, but it's got plenty of issues. i remember being so excited for Nyreen's intro in the Omega DLC for ME3. (first fem turian in the games!)

if you want a recommendation, i can say that Becky Chambers surprised me with her approach to sci-fi. The Wayfarer series is SO GOOD. It starts with The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet.
