#WIPWednesday babes. Have another snip of my #OFMDBB2025 in which Stede calls on Lucius for help picking an outfit for a ‘maybe’ date.

"Okay, so let's do something fun but casual.
Where are those jeans? The sinfully skinny ones?"
"These?" Stede clarifies, pulling out his favourite soft blue pair from the pile on the bed and holding them out so Lucius can see.
"Yesss, put those on."
"What, now?"
"Yes Stede! Now."
Stede carefully sets his phone screen-down on his bedside table, ignoring Lucius' protest (‘rude') and hurries, as much as he can, to pull the jeans on.
"Alright," Stede says, scooping the phone up
again. "What else?"
Together they rummage through the pile, Lucius not troubling himself to keep some of his more scathing opinions of Stede's suggestions to himself.
It's not a business meeting, Stede!
Do you actually want to get laid?

In the end they settle for a short sleeve shirt with a palm tree pattern against a dark background. Lucius assesses the final look with a highly critical eye.
“Hmm, pop another button…”
Stede does as instructed.
“Yeah, one more…”
“For goodness sake, Lucius,” Stede huffs, though he unfastens another button all the same, revealing far more chest than he usually would. “What’s the verdict?” he asks, holding his arms out wide like a child and doing a little turn on the spot so Lucius can see the full effect.
“Okay, but wouldn’t it be crazy if I was, like, suddenly into you?”
“Right,” Stede tuts and moves towards his phone where it’s propped on the dresser to end the call. He’s had quite enough of him for one day.
“No! I’m sorry! I love you!” Lucius cries quickly as Stede closes in. “You look super hot. Go get some, babe! Byyyyyyye!”
