I went viral last night over affordable housing - I feel “affordable housing” projects should have a much larger percentage of units that are actually affordable to recieve governement incentives. The responses gave me an epiphany. Libs created MAGA, on Twitter long ago with their insufferability.

I know that for every mixed housing unit only about 12% are affordable. I would like to see it be closer to 50% in order for builders to receive the government incentives. Maybe then we would see a bigger dent in the actual issue. If that makes me all the names you called me 🤷🏼‍♀️

Yes 100%. Maybe I’m the only person in the room seeing these places go up all around me and yet still not solving enough of the problem. I personally believe there is too much profit and not enough helping involved 🤷🏼‍♀️ by these comments idk I guess it’s just me.

I would like to see the percentage of affordable units within a mixed housing building be much higher than they currently are in order for builders to receive the government incentives. More on the lines of 50% instead of 12%, to start.

I have a problem with how we’re going about “affordable housing” because it’s not even affordable and white, rich, predatory builders are given a fucking free-for-all to circumvent every environmental regulation they possibly can… while helping next to no one

Ya, call me a NIMBY because building 250 units where 238 of the units are completely unaffordable for most people is helping the situation so immensely 🙄

Voting to ease regulations for more affordable housing is NOT the answer, and is not effective. What we should be aiming for are ways to take the million dollar profit off the table. Anyone becoming rich on “affordable housing” is not creating affordable housing. It’s an oxymoron.
