"Basic human decency" is a phrase that humans never deserved. Dogs? Yes. Pigs? Yes. Donkeys? Yes. Humans? Nope. If decency was basic to humans, our history wouldn't be littered with death and destruction.

You are right on the mark. The Departed was awful -- a hodgepodge of nonsense with terrible writing and equally terrible acting. The Irishman looks like it was made by Cartoon Network.

At this point in time, impotence can be seen as complicity. It appears that establishment Democrats are complicit in all of this -- while they enjoy playing the "good cop" in this Greek tragedy. We, the voters, are the rubes. Dems are a boardroom table party, eschewing the kitchen table long ago.
