2️⃣ "Today’s real chain: React → Electron → Chromium → Docker → Kubernetes → VM → managed DB → API gateways.

Each layer adds 'only 20–30%.' Compound a handful and you’re at 2–6× overhead for the same behavior.

That's how a Calculator ends up leaking 32GB."
1️⃣ I've worked in the world of software development for 30 years now and THIS line resonated with me:

My 14-year-old self would never have guessed that, in 50 years' time, all the world's music would be available at the click of a button, you'd navigate the globe by carrying a tiny computer around in your pocket, and the US President would post a video of himself shitting over American citizens.
Just a few years ago, opportunities were bountiful. Workers were swinging from job to job and employers had to compete aggressively to retain them.

Now? We're all holding on to our existing jobs for dear life. For you middle-aged folks around my age - do you feel the same?

Came across this poem I wrote my sophomore year of high school (1986-7?).

It's not bad, but it feels derivative. Did I plagiarize this from somewhere?

Passed out drunk and it's not even 9 am. I'm disgusted.
I can almost sympathize with Donald Trump who was just as deserving of the Nobel Peace Prize as I was of the Physics Prize. We were robbed.
Once again, I was denied a Nobel Prize for MY work in quantum physics in 1995. I published a paper titled, "Macro-deformed coherent states and the q-analogue quantized field" yet these bozos below won for their rather trivial work.

BIG NEWS! I've decided to leave my career in technology and start up a tree & limb removal business. My partners & I are good for only one tree a year and I try real hard not to remove my own limbs.
What Heather said is 100% true. This isn't a political issue. It's a moral one.

This is NOT the type of thing I want to read about as the CDC has been gutted by the Trump administration and nutjob RFK Jr is in charge of the nation's healthcare research.
‘Nightmare bacteria’ found in SC as it spreads across US, CDC says. What to know
The risk of getting the infection is low in the general public and more common in healthcare facilities.
