LLM in Human Rights. Opinions are my own, reposts not an endorsement. Cyclist, da, flatmate to Finrod (friend to man). Cat pics, Phillies, some law, tech and internet policy (day job), the odd Bucky/Klaes gif. Oh! And RPG stuff (mainly Call of Cthulhu).

My thread about the Best Bike Shop I have ever had the good fortune to be in. (Although Edinburgh’s Bike Craft come a close second and have never let me down)
My avatar pic was taken last August. It is me back at one of the most important places in my life, cycling or otherwise.

at the end of the book it said it was “inspired by a true story” about a woman’s corpse that got saponified. It was spooky & the illustrations were done mostly in blues & grays.

I bought a different kids’ book but I’ve always wanted to see this book again & I can’t remember the title. Anyone?

This is a long shot but do you know this book? About 10 years ago I was in a bookstore buying a children’s book as a gift, I saw all of these unusual children’s books, including one that seemed pretty new that was about a woman/ghost(?) made of soap who lived in a lake & talked to a little girl AND
Yep, I remember reading about that! The organisation I was working for at the time were desperate for storage and compute power, so AWS got very tempting because you could also spin up virtual servers. It was unlikely we were going to be shut down, but I remember being slightly apprehensive.

“Well, I’ll be darned. … I guess he does have a license to do that.”
Now I am wondering who is the Barry of Irish politics.
Who’s solving the Louvre robbery? Right answers only.
Man, I am going to have to watch the film again. It is has been way too long.
Can someone on #speirgorm please explain to me why we are in the final week of a presidential campaign featuring a candidate called Heather, and I haven’t seen a single Heathers/Winona Ryder/Christian Slater meme.

Very disappointed, online Ireland. It’s provocatively poor.

You know the most condescending brewery in Ireland?

Franciscan Well Actually
Cheered so hard at the end of Candyman.
I am very much here for all academic comeuppance films.
Very reasonable of you. Share that fringe to the benefit of all.
Do you worry that Bucky Barnes stole your hairstyle and claims it as his own.
(Also, you know, the colleague is the wrong skin colour, which is less than ideal.)
Ah crap. The colleague with more ability is going to die.
Halfway through Midsommar, and have just discovered that like Candyman and Re-Animator it’s firmly in the horror sub genre of arseholes thieving academic ideas from colleagues with less influence and more ability.

Yet to find out if like both of the previous films, the thief gets a comeuppance.
*Googles cast list of House of Guinness to see who plays Fielding Ould*
‘Internal’ he says. It’s about as internal as the mud streak up my arse on a damp day’s training ride.
I feel you’re tapping into a deep vein of frustration here.

But also, the image of a cackling TD lighting giant puppet heads as the people inside scream in terror is begging to be done in a comedy horror.

Like, begging.
Is house of Guinness a deep dive into the worst of purpureal fever and other horrors of obstetric practice to be found in the Rotunda?
