::up the print fund::

we fundraise in advance so we can distro to others at no charge.

>support the PWAR print fund<

October Goal: $0/500

We will update as our goals our met.
Support the Pride Was A Riot print fund.
We like to distribute our literature & flyers at no cost. We believe charging for our materials creates a barrier between our work & those who can benefit from it.
We lead online fundraisers like this to remove that paywall and ensure our community can benefit from our radical material, free of charge. Consider sharing or supporting the Pride Was A Riot print fund. Our goal is $500 for the month of October. Donations of $5, $10 and $20 go a long way to creating a more radical Sacramento community.
You can create the community you want to see, and today, we need your help to do it.

My latest is the story of how my community has rallied to protect and defend our neighbors in recent days, as ICE has targeted the Rogers Park neighborhood in Chicago. "This is not a story about a moment of victory, but a moment of being reminded of our power."
They Came for Our Neighbors. We Showed Up.
Before long, there were dozens, and then hundreds of people in the streets, watching and responding.

A few photos from Margaret Killjoy stopping through Boise last night while touring her newest book, The Sapling Cage.

It was a magical evening of sharing stories and community.

There's a lot that can't be conveyed about the energy and the beauty here.
Folks gather on gravel in front of the community center. The stairs have been worn soft over the years, the BBQ out front looks forgotten and hungry, mouth agape. Orange and pink sunlight pours from the clouds and bathes the whole scene. It's beautiful and peaceful. Margaret Killjoy's book sits on a wooden folding chair on worn linoleum. Just beyond that in the field of view is Margaret Killjoy, reading from some papers that are not her book. Her reflection can be seen doing the same thing in a mirror to the left of her, her right. An old speaker sits ready to amplify next to her on her left. The scene is busy and chaotic, out of focus and too brightly lit. It's a perfect moment. A picture of the event taken near the back, several dozen audience members listen intently to Margaret Killjoy's presentation and stories. Margaret Killjoy during signing afterwards. There is a zine table in the background that is absolutely on point. A hand-chalked sign with only the words "participate" and "respect" can be seen in the background as well. Slightly claustrophobic but cozy vibes.

"We May: May Day 2025 Thoughts + Reflections" was a composition book set out for attendees to contribute to.
A composition book of the very standard schooling variety with the black and white cover. Duct tape across the front has writing that says "WE MAY, May Day 2025 Thoughts + Reflections" A drawing of a cat next to text that reads:

Today is the first birthday of this project. Thanks, Boise.

Trying to get some reflection and thoughts gathered. Will revisit this soon, just marking the moment now.

Video of the Capitol in Boise, ID for the Hands Off (anti billionaire power grab) and SlutWalk (anti-rape culture) rally.

NOTE: organizations in other cities report erasure of the indiscriminate killing of Palestinians as part of this day of action. Our project supports solidarity, not erasure.

REMEMBER S.A.L.U.T.E.!

Take this moment seriously! Do your part to spread only good information!
SPREAD INFORMATION, NOT PANIC flyer.

Reads:
When reporting or boosting potential threats: provide as much information as possible!

Remember! (arrow pointing to acronym) S.A.L.U.T.E.

S for Size/Strength
A for Actions/Activity
L for Location/Direction
U for Uniform/Clothes
T for Time and date of observation
E for Equipment and Weapons

Not a useful message: "URGENT!!! Potential ICE Raids on the west side!!!"

"Where? When? What are they doing? How many? What are they carrying?"

USE YOUR JUDGMENT! WE KEEP US SAFE!

Anti-ICE slaps and a paste spotted around Boise.
"FUCK ICE" sticker on some sort of metal box with a lot of previous stickers worn away on it A metal pole or something in front of a wall covered in street art that includes an eye and some stylized lettering. On the pole, fairly high up, are two stickers. The highest sticker says "FTP" and the one below it says "ABOLISH ICE" A wheat paste that looks like someone attempted to remove. It says, "WHAT IF A MEMBER OF YOUR FAMILY WAS SENT HERE WITH NO TRIAL?" then shows a line of prisoners at CECOT with 2 guards in comically heavy gear, like from star wars, forcing the men down to their knees with their hands behind their back "ABOLISH ICE" sticker on the back of a sign. Above it in the frame is a "Demon Semen" sticker, whatever that is

Today you should send love to your trans friends. Tomorrow, too. Maybe every day for a while.

If you are employed & doing pretty fine right now, set aside some money from each paycheck to dedicate to mutual aid asks. Even just $20.

Shit is really bad, the social safety net is being shredded, & truly TRULY all we have is each other right now.

Wonderful stuff is happening in Nampa.

A bit late but here's how last weekend went

We're looking for more involvement if you've been thinking of a way to help out your community.
bigbash.bsky.social
The Nampa community could use a few extra helping hands in feeding their neighbors.

Volunteer if you can!

My publisher’s been very patient. I’m not doing everything I said I’d do to promote this book (out in a few weeks) because I’m an organizer in a city under federal attack. My days are full and emotionally exhausting. Any help getting the word out means a lot. It's a book people need right now.

Folks, friends, and frogs: it's Friday and that means it's time for a gentle STFU reminder! 🐸

Welcome to today's episode of Shut The Fuck Up Friday!

Check out this video for some tips from a local lawyer for those of you headed out to the streets to protest. You're a target of the state when you take action.

NEVER talk to police & always STFU!
