The one that gets me is that most of the citrus fruits you know are hybrids.

From the Wikipedia entry for the genius "Citrus": "Many cultivated Citrus species are natural or artificial hybrids of a small number of core ancestral species, including the citron, pomelo, and mandarin. Natural and cultivated citrus hybrids include commercially important fruit such as oranges, grapefruit, lemons, limes, and some tangerines. The multiple hybridisations have made the taxonomy of Citrus complex."

Some time ago I got some samples of scents from @bpal.bsky.social . This morning when I went to pop open the cap on the one called "Satyr," it came off quicker than I expected, spilled some drops, and made a bit of a mess.

That seemed appropriate.
