I took my cat to the vet today. He fought fiercely. He so thick he doesn't have a neck so I couldn’t grab him by the scruff of neck. Lots of (human) blood were spilt. I imagine same is going on at the vet…. I named him Mimaki. The red smudge on the sketch is (human) blood.

I’ve found myself getting a little obsessed with stag beetles. I used to have a fascination with them when I was younger.

I’m currently drawing one and researching ways to support their conservation. ❤️

I’m starting to feel that cosy, autumn feeling. 🍂

Last year I started a small Autumn sketchbook. Where I feel free to practice with my ink technique and enjoy the mood of this special season.

Sparrow Witch Harpy

Careful when looking through the hedgerow she might follow you home.

(Good excuse to practice ink technique)

I found paper that’s made of stone. I can’t wait to give it a try.

On first impressions it’s very, very smooth.

One of the best compliments that I’ve had on my work. I like to think that it’s true. 🍂

Two brown witch hares stare deeply at one another. As if caught in an act of surprise. The drawings are created using graphite, charcoal and ink. The backgrounds are misty and wild. The hares stare into your soul.

Watercolour study of a roe deer antler. I found this antler mostly sun bleached and there’s a lot of knobbly rugged textures throughout.
