they get better. it's just that they're both traumatized women who cope with it in exceptionally unhealthy ways, and also have a relationship built on a basis of mutual contempt and also key inexplicably almost killing herself and tarnishing her reputation just to deny yotsuyu her peaceful rest

key loves how yotsuyu disappears for weeks at a time completely unannounced and comes back covered in blood and not speaking more than a few words to her for several days! 🙂

and yotsuyu is oh so fond of key's pushy, prying nature and fretting insistence that she just stay home like a caged bird

the thinkpieces would be nauseating. the "ffxiv has gone downhill" unbearable. the anti-woke people who somehow still play this game would be shouting in the forums
