When I was 13 (also not that long ago) I wore a hat that was rainbow and said ‘gay is okay’ while marching for a parade with the school band. I got booed at by many grown men and even had a few small items tossed at me.

Been rewatching regular show - which aired when I was still the target age/audience - and now… I’m officially a year older than Mordecai and Rigby, who are 23 in the canon. I knew it would happen I just… yeah, lol. Still makes me laugh~ Arguably even more now that I am peer age 😭

Unsolicited writing advice: no. 8075: There is no such thing as serious writing. There are only writers who take their work seriously, and those who don’t. Tragedy is no more “serious” than comedy. Children’s writing is no less “serious” than writing for adults. Good writing is wherever you find it.
