Baseball has essentially turned in to the NBA where a team like the dodgers can do the whole load management thing all year, send people to the IL with fake injuries so they are ready in October.

With free agency and everything else, I find divisions/conferences dumb anyway. Everyone should play a balanced schedule, top 6 teams make playoffs with the top two getting byes in to the semifinals.

I’m not sure why that matters. Dodgers still have the same roster, they’d still be the best team in baseball, it would make them adjust a bit but theyd still be every bit as dangerous now.
