I love foxes puffins and dancing.I want an independent Scotland in the EU a free state for Palestine and a world without destructive 'strongmen'. I like a good argument but I've had enough of Israeli propaganda and will now simply block those who share it.

I wish more people understood how severely the system handicaps the party that does best in the constituencies. (Reducing its list votes to as little as 1/10 of their value.) Dspiriting still to hear calls for indy supporters to chuck away their 2nd vote in the hope of one extra seat for the SNP.
barbaracooney.bsky.social
No. The whole point is that the party in the lead in the constituencies will never lead in the list seats. D'Hondt prevents it by drastically.reducing its list votes. The only smart response is to spread your pro-indy votes across the two pro-indy parties.

No guarantee for either, but 70-80 pro-independence seats in Parliament is certainly a much more convincing argument than 65.

Wes Streeting has never been worthy of anyone's trust. He's one of the prime movers in Labour Together, acting to destroy the left in the party. Like most of the other members of that group, he's also a member of Labour Friends of Israel.

The responses I've had range from, 'the Party voted on it so this is our Plan' to we've not had a majority because of 'anti-SNP clowns' 'splitting the vote'. They all they can replicate the fluke 2011 result and that will immediately trigger a referendum. I've never been more angry at the SNP.

I agree: The d'Hondt method was adopted to prevent a strong stable government in Edinburgh. It's in the interest of the unionist parties to keep quiet about the divisor that lets them slither in on the list votes. The SNP is the most reprehensible: Putting party before a strong pro-indy Parliament.

Israel couldn't wait to get back to the war crime of collective punishment. Its instinctive reaction is to keep starving a civilian population. Yet again, showing its rogue state true colours.
barbaracooney.bsky.social
Spot on. Shamefully, the SNP has just reinforced the myth of 'two votes SNP'. Most people don't seem to understand that your second vote is reduced by the system to a half, a third right down to a tenth of a vote depending on the constituency seats the party gets, and the unionists stroll in.

Meabwhile, it's going to take a much longer time to recover the thousands of dead bodies from the rubble of Gaza. Wonder if the US will assist with that.

Israel and all the other guilty parties who enabled its destruction, including the USA and the UK. (British guilt goes back a very long way.)

During an EU Commission press briefing, a journalist questioned the double standards of European policy, asking whether Israel should also be held accountable for rebuilding Gaza — just as the EU demands Russia
The question was met with silence, as the EU spokesperson declined to comment.

Absolutely spot-on. The SNP Conference gave an early Christmas present to the unionists. Time for the SNP to a)come clean about the maths of the list seat allocation b)invite indy voters to spread their votes to maximise the number of pro-indy seats c)rescind their reckless and damaging resolution.

If anyone is in any doubt about who is responsible for the destruction of the Labour Party, and for turning it into one of the most notorious supporters of Israel in the western world, read on.

Is this really the first time Trump has noticed he looks weird and more than a little disgusting: Barely human?

Obviously Antifa has deep pockets. Wonder what the source of the group's funding is? (Bound to be George Soros, Joe Biden, Barak Obama or James Comey. Perhaps all of them).I'm sure there's someone in the Administration who can explain it.

Was that at the same time as Trump was hailing the greatest peace deal in the history of mankind?
