we read Beneath The Trees Where Nobody Sees with @baftcomorant.bsky.social tonight- extremely strong recommendation if you're good for some really grisly serial killer drama, and a really easy 6 issue read. very very well paced and illustrated, and the character work is super tight for its runtime.

I expected Riot Games to be kinda nasty with the microtransactions but locking 3 skins exclusively behind a 100 USD bundle is insane. The rest of the game is pricing things the way a mobile game late in its lifespan tries to gouge the remaining "whales" with 20 USD skins. It's bad.

1)Awakening was a handheld game made by a sisterstudio. With main in-house development you are are picking allocating resources between Arms and something like Animal Crossing.
2) Having launch year perks and no staying power leaves you doubting if a sequel would even match the first's sale.

Give it credit though watching the nurse sequence as a kid ruined my brain chemistry for life which is more than I can say about any other big video game adaptation to film.
