Like I can't think of the sound like any move in Pokémon makes nowadays (unless its like psychic or hyper beam where they intentionally reference the old sounds) but when I think of the old games. You can hear them.

Caring about the visuals in a game shouldn't automatically slot you into being a AAA Sonyposter, visuals are still part of the game that can be judged, we experience games with our eyeballs.

I don't think saying "the new pokemon games look embarrassingly ugly" transforms you magically into the kind of guy who cares about triple-A pores and says "doesn't even have as good soup eating graphics as RDR2 smh". I think it's normal to be mad Pokemon looks so cheap and ugly.

It kind of sucks how the art of sound design just kinda doesnt happen in most modern video games
So many big bombastic iconic sounds have gotten severely truncated over the years in favor of streamlining everything and making stuff sound more "modern" and i hate it

I have completed paper mario sticker star multiple times, 100%, filling out the sticker museum. it was a form of meditation for a while, to be less easily excited for new releases. it is a garbage, nonsense game with virtually no point to playing it.

wasnt fully done with it yet in this render but I did add some bioluminescent flourishes to the materials since imo that's what they'd do nowadays to keep the eel visible in the murky waters
