Just an update for commissions:

Life situation still has me by the balls. I’ve had to prioritize getting irl financials in order, typically working 5/6 days out of the week. By the start of July I will be aiming to work on a commission every two weeks so I can get my queue cleared out by Sept

With writing, the style I have may not always be understood, or be a “mainstream” style, but fuck if I don’t love it when I’m not constrained to having to write more formally

I’m often times having to fight my brain in creating something that you can read and is perfect in it’s anatomy and every foundation I’ve honed my skills on, when a big part of me just wants to say “screw it, does it *have to be perfect* when connecting with people emotionally is more important?”

I have to re-find what sparks my art flow state. Most times it’s music I think and truly not worrying about the end result, not worrying about perfection, just letting go and having fun

When it comes to writing, it’s when I can just get lost in the words and find catharsis through characters. +

in a session with my therapist, she was commenting how she can't draw a stick figure -- then recalled a time when she could envision exactly what she wanted and it came out easily on the canvas. and she had no idea how she did it.

I was like, yeah, the flow state. you know, like athletes and gamers
