Canada's true crisis is the everyday emergency of just trying to get by in an impossible economy.

I’m running for NDP leader so we can transform a system rigged for the rich—together.

We need a government that serves the many, not the money.

Just got off the organizing call for @avilewis.ca, and this is the first time I’ve been excited about a politician since Jack Layton. Avi is the real deal and is bringing back the federal NDP to their roots. It’s about time #CdnPoli #NDPLeadershipRace #NDP #AviLewis

Any chance to talk climate with the great @drmelissalem.bsky.social is a gift.

Planetary health and personal health are bound together in the fabric of life on earth.

Oh yeah, and my brother @sethdklein.bsky.social will be there too!

Looking forward to this...

Shoutout to the Toronto crew from @lewisforleader.bsky.social - talking to neighbours about a public option for food!

We’re building this campaign with 21st century solutions & old fashioned organizing: one conversation at a time, laser-focused on the daily struggles of the 99%. lewisforleader.ca

5/ They play with grit and heart, discipline and abandon. And they remind us of the joy of workers, doing what they do best, together.

Ok, I'm done. Now go throw a ball around in a public park!

And share your Rogers login with as many strangers as possible.

3/ This Jays team is a true collective, their secret is that it takes everyone to get it done.

Our special sauce comes from the players you could almost call the working class of baseball.

The guys who were never meant to be here.

2/ I haven’t followed every season, but I’ve always been a fan. And I’ve never seen a Jays squad like this one.

[For my lefties: I know, I know, millionaires playing kid games, a tax on working people for the benefit of billionaires. But suspend your snark and just stay with me for a minute…]

1/ My Blue Jays: A socialist reverie…

My Dad took me to the first Blue Jays game in 1977. It was so cold in Exhibition Stadium (“The Mistake by the Lake”) that asses were freezing to the aluminum bleachers.

It snowed, people left. We stayed, the Jays won!

This excellent video builds out the case for public grocery stores.

This idea is landing super well with Canadians, who are tired of trading their paycheques for overpriced food so corporations can line their pockets.

It’s the kind of populist offer the NDP can win with! Join us: lewisforleader.ca

With grocery giants ripping off Canadians, it’s time for a bold alternative: public grocery stores.

Food analyst Aaron Vansintjan explains how a publicly-run grocery option could solve the crisis of skyrocketing food costs.

Liberals and Conservatives have let corporate grocers rip off Canadians for far too long.

Billions in profits for the Big 3 Grocers, while working-class people wonder how they’ll afford their next meal.

No more waiting for the market to fix itself. Canada needs a public option for grocery stores.

2/ Conservatives claim they'd make the damage harder, faster.

This is why we need the NDP.

We understand that economic independence means building our own economy of care and repair, not climate bombs or actual rockets.

Unfortunately PM Carney works for the money, not the many.

Saskatchewan has more crown corporations than any other province. A bold idea for making life more affordable: public options at every single step of the supply chain that's ripping us off. #cdnpoli #NDP

Proud to stand with Tanille Johnston and Rob Ashton at the Saskatchewan NDP convention. We're contesting the same job, but all working hard for this party. Join us, it can be yours too #cdnpoli #NDP
