I’d forgotten how much I missed reading a book around the same time as my bestie and being able to text them shit as I get closer to the end.

I charge more on Ingram because I take the loss by offering a discount for bookstores to order from me. I forget what that’s called.

For those of you who have read my Bride of the Elven Innkeeper, this is Lina and Lucina. My gay tavern girlies.

I’m very glad and relieved I took today off work. I watched anime, scrapbooked, read, and just laid around.

My body sorely needed it.

Yesterday was really hard on me.

I'm glad you've found a sensible spot in Texas, and I hope when you do open that story again you'll feel ready to tackle it. :)

Perfect. Google Maps to the rescue, haha. Werewolf stories where the pack lines line up exactly with language lines lol

I do low-key miss the Portland area, haha. Even if I technically lived in Vantucky. I'd love to visit again someday.

I guess I didn't think about the general statement that all writing changes with time. It's not like Stephen King is still writing the exact same books the exact same way.

I think that's solid advice. And I do plan to explore the city plenty and talk to people. It's one of the things I'm most looking forward to.

That'll probably be what I'm limited to for a while as I learn French, haha.

...leave me in a purgatorial-like state where my writing suffers a bit for it. And my readers will sense that something is off when they go through the first novel I write after moving to Montréal.

It's a strange thing to worry about.

scared that once I leave Maine, I won't feel connected enough to the setting to write stories set there authentically anymore.

I'm worried that I'll never feel like I have the "right" to set stories in Montréal, my new home, because I'm an Anglophone.

So I guess I'm stressing this will all....

As we get closer to the move, I'm kinda worried about how it'll affect my writing. Not the stress of it all, but the not living in Maine for the first time in four years part. Most of my recent books are set here.

Werewolf
My Aunt, The Vampire
Hot Off The Press
Raven Court Chronicles

I'm....
