Where should the planet-radius valley peter out? Will we see it in mass space? Will there be features around the ice lines? Pile-ups of planets? How far out do we think the 'peas in a pod' relationship should hold? Are there other 'deserts' to be stumbled across, if so, where and why???

Well I, an astronomer, can obviously think of no downsides to a company promising to launch a constellation of reflective mirrors into low-Earth orbit to increase daylight for folks on the ground.

It was very weird. I didn't realise until we were in the emergency room later, waiting for xrays, when he asked for more morphine after the first shot that he was even IN that much pain.

AI would have said he was scamming for pain medication!

Years ago, my husband fell skiing a black diamond. I skied over to him as he was sitting up and dusting himself off. He said, deadpan, "I've hurt my leg". I said oh, do you need a minute? (He seemed fine.) And he was like "No. I've hurt my leg."

He'd shattered his knee and needed three surgeries.

I made Phil tell me all the ways stars in the middle of the Galaxy are different from stars out here, and then explained how Roman is going to uncover the planet populations of those stars and isn't that exciting? He asked if we'll know any of these things about the stars and I said probably not.
