I've asked myself that same question a few times!
Been a Green party memember for 3 or 4 years now but since then had vinyl and CD releases and flew to Poland to play a gig all of which feel wrong on some level.
If you ever find an answer let me know!

Transparency Update: I've now sold 4 CDs and 17 Digital LPs. Thank you so much to those who've bought something, the warm glow alone means I don't have to put the heating on yet.

And *deep breath*, a Like is very nice but a Repost could mean another sale, thank you and have a super Wednesday.

The economics of self-releasing music as physical media, a thread.
My first self-released CD is SEA OTTERS by The Bionics, an album of Not-Quite-Techno made in a very analogue way, and on our Bandcamp page along with 17 back catalogue treats.

Yes I think its the effects of Trump's Tarrifs, seems that all goods no matter how small are effected by the import duty.
I've just had to add a £12 international price for outside Europe parcels which is going to be more then the tapes, CDs and DVDs I'm selling!

I took it to mean the postal service not bandcamp!

Just had to refund a bandcamp sale to the US.
I didn't know the costs had gone up. I was told it would cost £12 to send one cassette tape to the states - last time I sent one in May it was only £4.50. Plus there would be an additional fee the person on the other side would have to pay!

Yes its seems they have the assumption that I have to have one to keep pace, that my life is somehow out of sync. That I'm missing out or not fully engaged. Not being part of 'work group' chats and not keeping up with the news this brings, none of which is essential.

oh wow, my son would love this!
Is it free to watch?

Not having a smart phone can really annoy people, some get really incensed or offended by my not having one. Occasionally the opposite happens, people are amazed & will compliment me on not having one like its a massive lifestyle option like being vegan or something.
I find it all quite amusing.

Tough one, probably Radioactivity but have a soft sot for Computer World and The Man-Machine is the perfect blend of pop and electronics.
-- However I did get this mad live 1971 Russian bootleg on clear vinyl from Fopp years ago recorded as a 3 piece when Ralf was absent and its amazing --

Agree, I used to live in Denmark about 20 years ago so have seen what can do done and how so much can be organised better. Why a progressive politcal movement can't or doesn't happen in the UK is a question that goes someway to understanding things.

Wealth tax is a great place to start, to fund a green agenda and fix so much of what is broken. There are loads of fairly easy things we can do if wealth was redistributed and services funded properly. This would make a big difference and also destroy the far-right agenda.

I can't get my head around some people's thoughts.
How you can sit in the centre of all this, look around at the contemporary landscape of society and think Starmer is somehow going to make a difference?

Its 2025 and fascists are literally setting the world on fire.

A good friend is a Labour card carrying centrist. We chat from time to time, he always thinks of himself as aware & understanding the world... he'll then say something like 'Starmers speech at party conference had a lot to bring and offers hope' or 'he's really trying to address everyday issues!"

You made me want to read it!
Very funny.
It's sad because between 92-95 I loved the music Verve made and very occasionally I still listen it.

I'm sure its only a matter of time before the conspiracy theorists have a field day but why does one of the armed police gunmen in the clip of the Manchester attack yesterday seem to be doing the nazi salute...? You can see it on this clip.

Two stills from the mentioned films...
Check them for the strange atmospherics and haunting music.
As still from a film / music video showing a car rear view mirror driving down a country lane with mist and winter trees. The shots are layered on top of each other giving a blurred and strange effect A still from a film / music video showing the Pyramid in Blicking Wood in Norfolk. The film is blurred and multi shots of the pyramid are layered on top of each other
