some of the loss of faith in a trad press comes from a feeling that hoity toity media enjoys a safety from everyone else's problems that allows them to equivocate and play devil's advo. i wish there was less oxygen for that outlook. they've very little to offer beyond "maybeeee you're all wrong."

Hi Sally. When Weiss published a supposed expose on the death of George Floyd, a veteran criminal justice reporter showed in deep detail that the piece was not just wrong but filled with falsehoods and misrepresentations. Weiss did not retract the piece. What do you think of that?

I think Zohran is great and inspiring and much needed right now, but all he's doing is like the job as it's supposed to be. Starts with a set of principles and advocates for them. It's like how everyone goes crazy for Chotiner for just doing the job. Not an indictment on either of them but the rest.
