I remember laughing at the three sea shell toilets combos in the Demolition Man movie but now my wife has installed an “intelligent toilet” with multiple buttons to flush - I’ve no idea which is which so I just smash them all like a PS2 street fighter combo until the pee disappears

In 1950 the People's Liberation Army arrived to relieve the Nationalist border guard who had been here for 4 years without relief or new orders. The nationalist leadership fled to Taiwan in 1949.

In June 1926, the Nanjing Govt sent soldiers to the Saitula outpost in southern Xinjiang - at 3800m elevation they presumed it had been long abandoned.

They found 17 Qing empire soldiers still guarding the outpost despite the empire falling in 1910.
