I've been rewatching Star Trek the Next Generation lately. I still love it. I've noticed a few recurring themes that pop up. So this will be my thread of common Next Generation plots ... In no particular order ...

The end logic of this if you’re in the UK btw is DEFEND THE BBC.

Complain about it, protest bad coverage of course, but we won’t get another institution that makes safe, publicly funded, reliable, human-created, vetted content for kids if we let the BBC get destroyed.
We've reluctantly removed access to YouTube kids. It's now no longer just the odd thing
Amen Marcus. I think a lot of these right wing types probably are genuinely racist, but they would make something else the driving force of their movement if they judged it would get them more votes and ultimately power+ influence (and £££)
No it makes perfect sense.. they're quite happy to make use of any system at all that they think might benefit them, even if on paper they're ideologically against it. They're immune to hypocrisy and care only about winning
I cannot. It also grits my shit that everyone still calls him "Prince".. if you keep these titles regardless of how you behave, they really are just signs of an outdated system of overlordship and mean nothing of any worth
If #Honestyisthebestpolicy, I wonder why he didn't open with that speech? 🤔 Makes me think maybe women who use those apps should deploy an intentional day of silence, just to weed out the unhinged ones who are constantly on the edge of some rant like this
..right winger, when I'm definitely not. So yea that's my question, do you think of laurel leaves / laurel wreaths as being inherently right wing symbols? Cheers
Question time.. do you guys think of laurel leaves / laurel wreaths as being a right wing thing? I was considering getting one in my next batch of tattoos, but I saw something that suggested some right wingers might use them. I wouldn't want to inadvertently make myself look like some sort of ..
Now I have a wrong version of that song in my head
Dammit now I'm so riled up I can't get back to sleep. The scars from being done so dirty last night are still too raw
True but then the ending - not showing us Divani's decision was the muggiest but of TV production I've ever seen #MAFSUK
Love their language. Our youngest calls gravestones "death signs" 💀
A stirring image depicting the time st. George got hammered then defeated the.... Tyrannosaurus rex (?!) .. in his WW2 era bi-plane. Brings a tear to the eye.
Dam that poppyflation has gone out of control lately.
She joked: "We've got poppy fatigue!"

'Poppy fatigue'... That's sailing too close to disrespecting the war dead for my liking.
As Samuel Johnson said, when a man is tired of performative poppy displays, he is tired of life.
Likewise for "nice guys"... The thing is it isn't really for you to say whether or not you are a nice guy, it depends on the judgement of those you interact with, not your own rubber stamp of it.
See I have a theory that the more someone says they are a thing, the less likely they are to actually be that thing. It's like people with "free thinker" in their profile who usually turn out to be the exact opposite, and just believe everything their right wing influencer videos tell them...
"in my defence, I was also friends with every other wrongun from the last 30 years.."
The most toothless threat I've ever read.. vampires threaten to drain fewer victims unless their demands are met...
Yea that could've been written yesterday
