At the end of the day people will have their kinks and all but the bare minimum they can do is tag it and not try to pedal that ‘sfw fetish’ bullshit or worse, deny having a fetish all-together and have minors engage with them through said fetish

it's 100% a case-by-case basis that does require a lot of context but I genuinely think the accusations of fetishmining against fat characters is the reason why people don't take the concept of calling out fetishmining, even for completely unrelated fetishes, seriously. it's harmful in multiple ways

Hell people do this to ocs too. I genuinely hate how people have turned fetishmining accusations, something that should only be done out of concern for the lack of transparency, into this crusade against daring to make a character more than like 120 pounds

I’ve never felt this ‘strongly’ about people posting to one website before but goddamnit can’t you make at least a tumblr if you think bluesky sucks so bad for some reason. At least make an archive or backup that isn’t twitter. Seems like common sense.

I know crossposting can be a pain in the neck but why are do you insist upon /only/ posting on the website where bigots can summon an AI in your replies to feed your art to.

Wholeheartedly agree. 'It's quieter on bluesky! you get less engagements!', people cry.

Yet, have said people considered that it's normal to refresh a page and get like, 1-5 new posts at most. Twitter is information & bigotry overload at absolute best.

Want to add: it's okay to enjoy media not in the way the author intended.

Once the author puts their work out there, a part of it (how it made you FEEL) is YOURS. I doesn't mean is the author's or anyone else's, and that's OKAY. Author-canon is important for analytics but not for your enjoyment.
